The Black Island initially published in black and white in French in 1938. Revised and coloured, its published in 1943 before being translated into English in 1966.
The story revolves around Tintin’s chance discovery of counterfeit bank notes scattered by a mysterious aircraft.
Following the trail of these counterfeit bank notes, Tintin’s pursuit lands him and Snowy on a secluded Scottish island. So this is where The Black Island title springs from. All is not what it seems but Tintin and Snowy persevere and we get a triumphant result against the baddies!
