Tintin and Alph Art published in French in 1986 by Casterman. This is Hergé’s final adventure for Tintin and it remains unfinished. Published as a sketch book and with a separate book for the text.
Hergé died in 1983 leaving these preparatory sketches giving us a unique glimpse into his amazing technique of story telling.
In 1991 Sundancer had Leslie Lonsdale-Cooper and Michael Turner translate it for an English edition. Tintin and Alph Art was published as a sketch book with a pull out booklet for the text.
This is a new theme for Hergé, this story takes us into the enthralling world of modern art, a subject that Hergé was personally passionate about.
