The New Delhi Taxi – “Tintin in Tibet” (1960) Tintin and Captain Haddock stop over in New Delhi! They take the opportunity to visit the city but time is short because the plane to Kathmandu leaves in twenty-five minutes. Captain Haddock unintentionally hires a taxi which despite multiple twists gets them to the airport on time. This scene, imagined by Hergé, forced his collaborator Michel Demarets to look for a convertible that could accommodate Captain Haddock by air. He opted for the 1939 Cadillac Fleetwood.
