The Maharaja of Gaipajama, who is now available in the series of resins featured in the poster for the exhibition Le Musée imaginaire (1979). Accompanied by his young son, he wears a bright pink silk suit and a turban adorned with a jewel and a feather. The elegant ruler rules over an imaginary kingdom on the border of Tibet. In Cigars of the Pharaoh, he helps Tintin to dismantle the drug trade organised by the Kih-Oskh. This figurine joins the other characters, and the mythical objects already available in this series.

His Highness the Maharaja of Gaipajama and his son the Crown Prince are the latest to join the visitors to Le Musée Imaginaire. Now they are wearing their “day wear” suitable for joining the other guests as Tintin and Snowy show them around. A bright pink sherwani with a simple turban, okay a small jewel and and a plume for His Highness and that gorgeous pale turquoise and brighter coloured turban for the Crown Prince. There is just something about how Royalty can pull off that “look”?

Characters taken from the adventure Cigares of the Pharaoh when Tintin not only rescues the young Crown Prince from abduction but also foils a major drugs trade. And remember this adventure starts with Tintin on deck with Snowy saying…This is the life, Snowy. A really quite holiday for a change..
